Penn College ended its season with 3-0 loss to Fayette in the PSUAC Semifinals
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn State Fayette ended the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team’s 2010 season as it defeated the Wildcats 3-0 in the PSUAC Conference Championships Semifinals. Freshman Samantha Davis (North Apollo) had six kills and four blocks to lead the team. Despite the loss, Penn College ends its season with an impressive 17-7 overall record and 13-3 record in the PSUAC.
All three sets were tight with the Lions just edging out Penn College 25-14, 25-22, 25-18. In regular season play, the Wildcats were able to take two sets before losing 3-2.
Also for Penn College, junior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanicsburg) had 15 aces and three service aces while sophomore Tara Powell (Burgettstown) had six digs.
Fayette will face PSUAC regular season champion Penn State Mont Alto in the championship game.
