Freshman Lindsay Moyer had 12 kills to lead the Wildcats
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Lindsay Moyer (Canton) had 12 kills and five blocks to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Penn State Beaver in Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) playoff quarterfinals. The Wildcats advance to the semifinals at Penn State University in State College, Pa. on Friday, October 22.
It was a tight match for all three games with the Wildcats just edging out Beaver 25-17, 27-25, 25-20. Freshman Samantha Davis (North Apollo/Apollo Ridge) had eight kills and two blocks while junior Lyndsey Smith (Mechnicsburg/Cumberland Valley) had the right touch with 27 assists.
This is the third meeting of the teams this season. Penn College defeated Beaver back on August 28 3-1. The Nittany Lions got revenge when they took the Wildcats to five sets and won 3-2 on October 9.
Penn College will face the winner of Penn State Fayette and Brandywine on Friday at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State University.
