Fall 2010 Women's Volleyball: Tri-match at Beaver PSU Beaver

Freshman Samantha Davis had seven blocks in the two matches
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team split a double header Saturday losing 5-4 to Penn State Beaver (8-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-14, 11-15) and winning 3-0 against Penn State Greater Allegheny (25-8, 25-5, 25-13). Freshman Lindsay Moyer (Canton) tallied 15 kills on the afternoon to lead the Wildcats. Penn College now improves to 12-5 overall and 9-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Also for the Wildcats, junior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley) had 42 assists on the day while sophomore Tara Powell (Burgettstown) had 11 kills. Freshman Samantha Davis (North Apollo/Apollo-Ridge) continues to show dominance at the net as she notched seven blocks.
As a team, Penn College had 23 service aces in the two games.
Next up, Penn College will travel to Penn State New Kensington on Sunday, Oct. 10 for a tri-match starting at 1 p.m.
