Junior Patrick Kehoe notched an assist in the 8-0 victory

MONACA, Pa. – Freshman Tristan Smith (Bermuda, FF) notched a hat trick as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team defeated Penn State Beaver 8-0 on the road. Smith also notched one assist while freshmen Patrick Masango (Norristown) and Chris Brennan (New Hope) each had a goal and an assist in the victory.

Penn College (10-2, 6-0) score six goals in the opener with Smith opening up the team’s tab in the 9th. The team would outshoot the Lions 17-0 in the half.

Sophomore Joe Gallagher (Bethel, Conn.) and freshman Alec Elam (Naples, N.Y.) came in the second half as subs and made an impact scoring the 64th and 70th to close out the game.

Senior Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale) and freshmen Cody Curry (Towanda) and David Munn (Athens) combines for the shared shutout.

In total, the Wildcats had 27 shots, four corners and two saves.

Penn College will host Penn State New Kensington on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.
