SCRANTON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer scored a season high 11 goals as they shut out Penn State Scranton in PSUAC action Wednesday evening. Freshmen Chris Brennan (New Hope) and Thomas Walters (Lewistown) each had two goals in the offensive barrage while senior Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale) and freshman Cody Curry (Towanda) had the shared shutout.

It took 25 minutes for the Wildcats to get on board, but Brennan broke through the stalemate off a sharp pass from sophomore Ben Shade (Fleetwood). They would go on to score three more goals in the half. Freshman Patrick Masango (Harrisburg) would score one and assist two.

After Brennan opened up the scoring for Penn College (5-1, 3-0) in 48th out of the break, Walters would score consecutively in the 51st and 56th. The team would score seven in the half with a goal and an assist from freshman Godwin Omo-Ekpadi (Norristown).

The Wildcats outshot Scranton 63-1 and had 13 corners on the evening.

Next up, Penn College travels to Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday, September 25 at 1 p.m.
