Fall 2010 Men's Soccer: PSU Schuylkill

Sophomore Ben Shade opened up the scoring in the 16th minute for Penn College
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team improved to 2-0 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference as they defeated Penn State Schuylkill 6-0. The Wildcats’ defense was on point allowing no shots by the Nittany Lions. Penn College is now 4-2 overall.
The Wildcats scored four in the first half with sophomore Ben Shade (Fleetwood/Oley Valley) opening up the scoring in the 16th minute. Freshman Chris Brennan (New Hope/New Hope-Solebury) added to the total with a goal off a pass from sophomore Patrick Kehoe (Oley/Oley Valley). Freshman Tristan Smith (Bermuda, FF/Saint Johnsbury) scored back to back goals to close the half.
In the second half, freshman Godwin Omo-Ekpadi (Norristown) scored his first goal of the season in the 49th minute and following suit was freshman Joe Rumsey (Langhorne/Holy Ghost) with his first goal in the 89th minute to close out the scoring.
Goalkeepers Daniel Shaffer (Shermans Dale/West Perry), Cody Curry (Towanda) and David Munn (Athens) combined for the shared shutout.
Next up, Penn College hosts Penn State Scranton on Wednesday, September 22 at 7pm.
