Freshman Brendan West came in as a second half sub to help the Wildcat defense earn the shutout

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored the game winner as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team defeated #7 Southern Virginia. Brennan’s goal came in the 47th minute off a deflection from the keeper. The Wildcats now improve to 3-1 overall.

Senior goalkeeper Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale) captured the shutout with four saves off of six total shots.

As a team, Penn College totaled 18 shots and 12 corner kicks.

Next up, Penn College will host Lycoming College at the Balls Mills Complex for the Battle for the Lumber on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.
