Fall 2010 Men's Soccer: PSU Wilkes Barre

The Wildcats celebrate a goal as they go on to defeat the Lions 6-0
The Pennsylvania College of Technology men';s soccer team pulled out the offense as they defeated Penn State Wilkes Barre 6-0 in conference action Saturday. "The team played well," said head coach Enrique Castillo. "The first couple minutes of the game were rough. We settled down though, and started moving the ball a lot better and keeping possession." The Wildcats are now 2-1 overall.
Freshman Joseph Gallagher (Bethel, Conn./Bethel) scored the first goal for Penn College. The Wildcats would go into the half up two nothing after freshman Patrick Massango (Harrisburg/International) scored off a pass from senior William DeAngelo (Dallas). Massango finished the game with two goals while DeAngelo had a goal and an assists.
In goal, senior Daniel Shaffer (Shermans Dale/West Perry) got the win as he combined with freshman Cody Curry (Towanda) for the shutout with two saves.
Also for Penn College, freshman Mitchell Pequignot (Trout Run/Liberty) notched a goal while freshman Joseph Ramsey (Langhorne/Holy Ghost) had a goal and an. assist. Sophomore Patrick Kehoe (Oley) had two assists and freshmen Chris Brennan (New Hope/New Hope Solebury) and Alec Elam (Mifflinburg/Naples Central) each added an assist on the afternoon.
As a team, the Wildcats totaled 26 shots.
Next up, Penn College will host Southern Virginia University on Wednesday, September 15 at 5pm.
