Freshman Tristan Smith netted a season high two goals for Penn College
JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. – Freshman Tristan Smith (Bermuda, FF) netted two goals to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team to its first victory of the season over Davis College 3-1. Senior Nick Grasso (New Columbia) scored the other goal as the Wildcats improve to 1-1 overall.
Grasso scored off a pass from junior William DeAngelo (Dallas) in the 10th to put Penn College on the board first. Davis would equalize in the 33rd to send the teams in the break at a tie.
Smith kicked off the second half with a goal in the 49th off a cross from junior Patrick Kehoe (Oley) and then added the cushion in the 67th from a pass off of freshman Chris Brennan (New Hope).
Senior Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale) notched a save in goal for the win.
The Wildcats will next travel to Wilkes Barre, Pa. to take on conference rivals Penn State Wilkes Barre on Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.
