Freshman Chris Brennan notched two goals in the 3-1 victory over York
YORK, Pa. – Freshman Chris Brennan (New Hope/New Hope-Solebury) scored two goals to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Penn State York. The Wildcats have just one more conference match before playoffs, but they stand at the top of the Pennsylvania University Athletic Conference standings with a record of 8-0 while they improve to 12-2 overall.
Brennan opened scoring off a pass from freshman Tristan Smith (Bermuda/International) in the 10th minute. York would equalize in the 24th and send the teams tied into halftime. Brennan scored the game winner in the 58th off a laser from junior Patrick Kehoe (Oley). Freshman Patrick Massango (Harrisburg/International) would seal the victory in the 86th with a goal from freshman Thomas Walters (Lewistown).
Senior goalkeeper Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale/West Perry) records the victory. Penn College had 11 shots and five corners to York’s five and three respectively.
Penn College will travel to Penn State Hazleton for the team’s final conference game on Tuesday, October 19 at 6pm.
