Junior William DeAngelo was strong in the midfield as the Wildcats defeated #7 Washington Adventist

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team took down #7 Washington Adventist 1-0 Sunday afternoon. Freshman Tristan Smith (Bermuda, FF/Saint Johnsbury) scored the game winner in the 69th minute when the Wildcats won a corner kick. The victory improves Penn College to 7-2 overall.

As a team, the Wildcats had 21 shots and seven corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale/West Perry) had five saves in the shutout.

The Penn College defense was on its game allowing only eight shots by the Shock and one corner kick.

Penn College is ranked 8th in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and is undefeated in the Pennsylvania States University Athletic Conference at 4-0.

Next up, Penn College will travel to Penn State – Brandywine Tuesday, September 28 for a 4pm match.
