Sophomore Erin Overline netted two to help lift the Wildcats over Salem International
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Erin Oberlin (New Berlin/Mifflinburg Area) netted two goals to help lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Salem International University. This is the Wildcats third straight win as they improve to 4-4 overall.
Sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) opened up the scoring in the 18th minute. Senior Kimberly Daley (Springfield Center, N.Y./Cherry Valley-Springfield) put one in the back of the net at in the 34th minute and Oberlin closed out the half with a goal in the 40th minute to give Penn College the 3-0 lead.
Oberlin opened up the scoring in the 57th minute to score the Wildcats’ final goal. The Salem International Defense would settle down and stop the scoring offense for the remainder of the game.
As a team, Penn College totaled 30 shots and three corner kicks while it didn’t allow a shot from the Tigers offense. Sophomore goalkeeper Amanda Reedy (Burnham/Indian Valley) earned the shuout.
Next up, the Wildcats will host Elmira College on Monday, Oct 11 at 5pm.
