The Wildcats won its home invitational to kick off the 2010 season

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team won its season opening invitational Monday, just edging past Penn State Mont Alto by a mere three strokes. Alex Howe (Lake Ariel/Western Wayne), Eric Schall (Williamsport/Jersey Shore) and Chad Vuocolo (Lock Haven/Central Mountain) all tied for 3rd place each shooting 78 to lead the Wildcats.

The field consisted of host Penn College, Mont Alto, Penn State Shenango, Penn State Greater Allegheny and Penn State New Kensington. As a team, the Wildcats totaled 315 while Mont Alto had 318.

Also for Penn College, Kurt Linhart (Zionsville/Southern Lehigh) placed sixth with an 81 while Daniel Kramer (Avon, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) tied for seventh with an 82.

Next up, the Wildcats will travel to the Penn State Fayette Invitational on September 8th.
