Fall 2010 Tennis: PSU Mont Alto

Despite dropping his singles match, senior Shane Burridge won 6-3, 6-4 with partner, junior Adam Groff at first doubles to seal the victory
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team barely edged out Penn State Mont Alto as it won 5-4 in conference action Thursday. This is the team’s sixth straight win. The Wildcats had defeated Mont Alto back on Sept. 23 6-3. Penn College now improves to 6-2 overall and in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Sophomore Bradley Fisher (Williamsport/Montoursville) won his second singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Freshman Jacob Kuska (Mohnton/Holy Name) also had an easy day with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Senior Shane Burridge (Ephrata) dropped his first singles match, but bounced back with junior partner Adam Groff (Washington Boro/Penn Manor) to win first doubles 6-3, 6-4 and seal the victory for the Wildcats.
Mont Alto defaulted both second doubles and fourth singles while Penn College defaulted women’s doubles.
Next up, the Wildcats will host Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday, October 9 at noon.
