Fall 2010 Tennis: PSU Hazleton

Senior Shane Burridge won first singles 6-2, 6-3 against Hazleton
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team evened out its overall record 2-2 as it defeated Penn State Hazleton 7-2 in conference action.
In doubles action, senior Shane Burridge (Ephrata) and junior Adam Groff (Washington Boro) just edged out their opponent 9-8 (7-2). Senior Robert Kemrer and sophomore Alex Clemens (Lebanon) had an easier time at second doubles winning 8-0.
In singles, Burridge won 6-2, 6-3 in the first flight while sophomore Brad Fisher (Montoursville) took second singles 6-0, 6-3. Freshman Jacob Kuska (Mohnton) came out the victor in 3-6, 6-1 (10-8) third singles match and Kemrer dominated fourth singles 6-1, 6-3. Senior Danielle Trout (Harrisburg) won her women’s second singles match 6-1, 6-3.
Next up, the Wildcats will travel to Penn State Wilkes Barre on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.
