Fall 2010 Tennis: PSU Wilkes Barre

Senior Danielle Trout blitzed her second singles opponent 6-0, 6-0
WILKES BARRE, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team made it three in a row as they defeated Penn State Wilkes Barre 8-1 in conference action.
The Wildcats swept doubles play with senior Shane Burridge (Ephrata) and junior Adam Groff (Washington Boro) taking first doubles 8-6. Senior Robert Kemrer and freshman Jacob Kuska (Mohnton) breezed through second doubles 6-2, 6-0 and senior Danielle Trout (Harrisburg) and junior Rachel Emmons (Washington, N.J.) faired similarly at women’s doubles 6-2, 6-1.
In singles play, Burridge swept in first singles 6-1, 6-3 while Kemrer followed suit at fourth singles 6-1, 6-2. Kuska had a battle at third singles going to three but outlasting his opponent 1-6, 6-4, 15-13. Emmons came out on top of women’s first singles 6-2, 6-3 while Trout blitzed her second singles opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Next up, the Wildcats will travel to Penn State Mont Alto on Sept. 23 at 3 p.m.
