Spring 2014 Archery: Indoor Regional Championships - Lancaster Archery

LANCASTER, Pa. – With over 95 archers in attendance, the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team had a strong showing at the US National Indoor Championship - East Regional this past weekend. Junior Kendel Baier (Jersey Shore) took first in the women’s bowhunter competition while senior Kelvin Dewalt (Easton) did the same on the men’s side. All archers will wait to see where they rank nationally as their scores will be combined with other regionals held across the nation.

Also for Penn College, junior Matthew Cummings (Mountville) took second in the men’s compound competition as did junior Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) on the women’s side.

Other schools in attendance at the regional were Atlantic Cape Community College, Columbia University, California University of Pennsylvania, James Madison University, Liberty University, Penn State University, Princeton University, and United State Naval Academy.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Storrs, Conn. for their first outdoor competition, the Northeast Collegiate Archery Tournament, on Saturday, Mar. 29.
