Daniel Frankenfield lost a tight 9-4 decision to Rutgers

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Six Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestlers competed Sunday at the Shorty Hitchcock Open on the campus of Millersville University. Facing strong NCAA Division I and II competition, Penn College came up winless but had some strong performances.

Freshman Joe Champluvier (Laceyville) dropped two tight decisions at 157 against Bucknell (7-3) and Virginia (3-2). Sophomore Daniel Frankenfield (Dushore) lost 9-4 to Rutgers at 174 while freshman Patrick Fitzgerald (Port Royal) dropped a 9-3 decision to Penn State at 197.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State Beaver on Sunday, Jan. 26 for a 1 p.m. match.
