Ali Van Metter opened the game with a three to put Penn College on top early

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –Sophomore Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) scored a season high 34 points to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team to an 88-66 win against Central Penn Monday. The Lady Wildcats led the entire game dominating the offense scoring 45 points in the first half. Freshman Charese Bova (Beech Creek) added 12 points in the game and 13 rebounds while sophomore Danielle Mowery (Shamokin) had 10 points and seven assists. With the win, Penn College improves to 5-14 overall.

Junior Ali Van Metter (Saylorsburg) drained a three to open the game for Penn College. Penn College capitalized on Knight turnovers and poor shooting. Van Metter ended the game with five points and two rebounds.

Central Penn scored only 28 points in the half.

In the second half, Penn College outscored the Knights 45-38. For the game, the team shot 36 for 75 (.480). Bova was perfect from the floor going 6 for 6.

Central Penn did out-rebound the Lady Wildcats 56-47.

Penn College next hosts Penn State Scranton on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m.
