Danielle Mowery led the Wildcats pulling down 12 boards and sinking seven points

ALBANY, N.Y. – Despite seven points and 12 rebounds from sophomore Danielle Mowery (Shamokin), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 73-31 to Briarcliffe College (N.Y.) Saturday at the Albany College of Pharmacy Tip-Off Tournament.

Penn College (0-1) was outscored 45-14 in the first half but played a much stronger second half scoring 17 to Briarcliffe’s 28. The Lady Wildcats held them scoreless in the first eight minutes of the half.

For the game, Penn College totaled 52 rebounds and shot 11-63 (.175) from the field.

Also for the Lady Wildcats, juniors Allison Van Metter(Saylorsburg) and Niesha Williams (Williamsport) and freshman Chelsea Burger (Millersburg) each scored five points.

Next up, Penn College will take on the loser of the Albany and Univ. of Maine – Augusta game on Sunday, Nov. 17 at noon.
