Daniel Flynn led the Wildcats running a 34:09

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Daniel Flynn (Blairstown, N.J.) ran a 34:09 to place 117th as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s cross country team competed at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Championships Friday. A total of 19 teams and 183 runners competed in the 8K race. “I’m happy with how we performed,” said head coach David Mendez. “The course was really muddy and there were several runners who fell. Our guys ran a tough race.” As a team, Penn College finished 18th.

Also for the Wildcats, freshman Nathan Mashack (Bloomsburg) took 125th with a 34:32 and freshman Tyler Pecora (Drums) was 146th with a 36:08. Rounding out the runners was senior Ed Knyff (Ocean Gate, N.J.) with a 37:39 for 160th place and freshman Will Cox (Ebensburg) was 176th with a time of 43:17.

Host SUNY – ESF won the event for the third consecutive year.
