The Lady Wildcats were sharp on the service line with 27 aces

DALLAS, Pa. - Recording 27 service aces, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team dominated Penn State Wilkes Barre 3-0 Monday. The Lady Wildcats allowed only 16 points from the Lions winning 25-6, 25-4, 25-6. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led with 14 aces an added four kills. With the win, Penn College improves to 4-8 overall and 3-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Also for Penn College, freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) had five aces and eight assists while sophomore Loralee Lindemuth (Tidioute) led the team with six kills and recorded three aces.

Next up, the Lady Wildcats travel to Penn State Hazleton for a 7 p.m. match on Thursday, Sept. 26.
