Alex Howe led the Wildcats with an 80 on the par 72 course

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – With nine teams and over 50 golfers in attendance, the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team took the top spot at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational Wednesday. Senior Alex Howe (Lake Ariel) led the Wildcats shooting an 80 on a par. 72 at the Penn National Golf Course. Freshman Samuel Bubb (Williamsport) started off his career nicely with an 81.

All six Penn College golfers shot below a 90 at the event. Junior Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) and freshman Calvin Foust (Palmyra) each shot an 82 while junior Nicholas Krupka (Allentown) and freshman Daniel Hanovic (Brooklyn, N.Y.) kept pace with each other scoring 88.

Next up, Penn College hosts its own invitational on Monday, Sept. 9 at the White Deer Golf Course starting at 11 a.m.
