The Lady Wildcats will next face Penn State Scranon on Sunday, Feb. 10

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) scored 15 points leading the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team in its 68-44 loss to Southern Virginia University. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) notched 13 and sophomore Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) added 11 in the game. The Lady Wildcats are now 11-12 overall with one game remaining in the regular season.

Southern Virginia led the entire game, but the first half was tight with the Lady Wildcats keeping it to within five the first 10 minutes. Southern Virginia ended the half with on a run to go into the break up 38-22.

It was smooth sailing in the second half as the team cruised to the 24 point win. Penn College was strong defensively with eight blocks. Brown led the team with six.

For the game, the Lady Wildcats totaled 39 rebounds. Jamie Steer led with nine and Kierstin Steer was right behind with seven.

Next up, Penn College finishes out its season when it hosts Penn State Scranton on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
