The Wildcats had four place winners in the tournament
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - Eight Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestlers competed at the Jayhawk Open hosted by Jamestown Community College.Saturday Four Wildcats placed in the top four with junior Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) the top finisher taking second in the 157 bracket. After recording two pins in his earlier rounds, Myers lost to Tyler Button of Edinboro in a 10-9 decision in the championship bout.
Also for Penn College, freshman Daniel Frankenfield (Dushore) took third at 174 going 3-1 with a pin and two decisions. Freshman Ryan Hart (Wyalusing) also came in third at 133 going 1-1 with a major decision.
Rounding out the place finishers was sophomore Paul Crutchlow (Morris Plains, N.J.) who took fourth at 184. He went 2-2 with a pin and tech. fall.
Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State New Kensington on Monday, Feb. 4 for a 7 p.m. match.
