Wade Jacobson had an 11-5 decision over Sean Newkirk of Beaver

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team notched two wins Saturday as it hosted a Penn State University Athletic Conference tri-match. The Wildcats took down Penn State Beaver 42-0 and then won 40-9 over Penn State Mont Alto. Junior Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) continued his strong start to the season going 2-0 with two pins. His record for the year improves to 7-1 with seven pins. In addition, the wins improve the team to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in the PSUAC.

Freshman Ryan Hart recorded his two wins of the year at 133 including a 9-1 major decision over Daniel May of Mont Alto. At 165, sophomore Austin Clark (Elysburg) went 2-0 with a 12-5 decision over Beaver’s Dylan Winkle and pinning Lancer Alderman of Mont Alto.

Also for the Wildcats, sophomore Kyle Sunseri (Athens) pinned Nate Proce of Mont Alto at 3:39 at 141 while in the same class against Beaver freshman Wade Jacobson (Alexandria, Va.) won by decision 11-5 over Sean Newkirk.

Penn College next travels to Penn State University for the Nittany Lion Open on Sunday, Dec. 2.
