Markus Rybak
Head Coach

An assistant to the program in 2009, Coach Rybak took over head coaching duties in 2010. In his first season, he compiled a solid 6-7 record and had two United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Americans. The 2012 season to date has been Rybak's best season with an impressive 8-6-2 record and a berth to the USCAA national tournament in Asheville, N.C. That year, he had two USCAA All-Americans on the squad. Overall as the head, he has a 17-20-2 record.
A native of Lünen Germany, Rybak came to the United States in 2000 and attended University High School in Johnson City, Tenn. From there, he attended Milligan College in Elizabethton, Tenn. where he was a member of the men’s soccer team for four years. He graduated in 2006 with a degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Management.
Rybak started his coaching career in 2004 as an assistant for the David Crockett High School varsity men’s soccer team in Jonesborough, Tenn. After relocating to Pennsylvania, he coached at the Soccer Training Network in Beech Creek, Pa.
As a player in Germany, Rybak played for FC Leunen and BV Luenen. With BV Leunen, he traveled to play against teams from England, Sweden, Scotland and France. He also played and helped coach for the Ludwig Uhland Secondary Modern School in Lünen from 1996-99.
Rybak is a Technical Support Analyst at Penn College. In his spare time he also assists the Loyalsock Middle School Boys team. He resides in Williamsport with his wife Jaime, daughter Emma and son Lukas.
