Enrique Castillo

Coach Castillo has been at the helm of Penn College men’s soccer since 2006.  He has guided the program to undefeated seasons in 2006, 2007, 2010 and most recently in 2012.   In both 2006, 2007  and 2012 he was named the PSUAC Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year in addition to winning conference titles in those years.  In 2010, after capturing his fourth PSUAC title, his team made a run to the USCAA national tournament semifinal before falling to the eventual champions in a highly competitive game.  In 2011, Castillo led the team to its second straight PSUAC and berth into the USCAA national tournament in Asheville, N.C., placing in the top six. 

Born in Trujillo, Peru, Castillo started playing soccer at the age of five.  He went on to play for different clubs including Club Libertad.  After his family relocated to New Jersey, he played varsity at Clifton High School.  Graduating in 2000, he went on to play for Penn College.  He graduated in 2005 with a degree in Computer Information Technology and Design and minored in Business Administration. 

Immediately after graduating, Castillo accepted the assistant coach position for men’s soccer at Penn College.  He also was an assistant coach for the varsity program at Montoursville High School.  As the head of Wildcat men’s soccer, he has posted an impressive 102-24-6 (.795) record.  He earned his 100th victory in the 2012 season against Bryn Athyn College (10/20/12).

Castillo resides in Williamsport where he is part owner of local real estate company Castle of Castillo, LLC.
