Freshman wrestler Ryan Hart has been named the Penn College Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mar. 17. Hart competed at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) National Championships in Allen, Texas. He placed eighth at the 133 division and was named an All-American, just the third Wildcat to ever achieve the accolade.
Hart had a breakout rookie year with an impressive 21-5 record. He won the Mid-East Conference Championship and was ranked as high as seventh in the NCWA.
The tournament was the conclusion of the wrestling season with the Wildcats finishing the year 13-8 overall.
