Senior archer Joseph Dowdrick has been named the Penn College Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mar. 10. At the US Indoor Eastern Regionals, Dowdrick took first place in the male bowhunter competition. His scores were good enough to rank him first in the nation among all collegiate male bowhunters.

Dowdrick is no stranger to success. Last year, he was on the men's bowhunter team that finished first at the USCA National Championships. In 2011, he took the individual title.

Next up, Dowdrick and the Wildcats travel to James Madision University for the Adam Wheatcroft Memorial Tournament on Saturday, April 6.
