Archery: Baier Women's Bowhunter Champion as Wildcats Take Third Overall

CEDAR CITY, Utah - At the United States Collegiate Archery (USCA) Championships this past week, Pennsylvania College of Technology sophomore Kendel Baier (Jersey Shore) dominated women's bowhunter taking the national title in the individual competition. Her efforts helped the Wildcat archery team take third overall behind winner Texas A&M and second place James Madison University. Baier took home all three major titles in her discipline capturing first in the women's bowhunter team competition with sophomore Brianna Batykefer (Butler) and freshman Cayla Easley (Carlisle), as well as in the mixed bowhunter competition with senior Joseph Dowdrick (Lebanon). In addition, the women's compound team of junior Ashley Baker (Coudersport) and sophomores Rebecca Boyer (Macungie) and Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) took home the trophy for the team competition.
Baseball: No. 4 Selma Ends Wildcats’ Run with a 5-4 Win

BUTLER, Pa. – No. 4 Selma University came from behind to defeat the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team and end its run at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 5-4 despite leading through the first three innings. Sophomore Matthew Demilio (Greensburg) recorded the loss while sophomore Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) led the offense with two runs and an RBI off of a hit.
Baseball: Weil Leads Offense as No. 10 Wildcats Upset No. 2 Clark State

BUTLER, Pa. - Sophomore Zachary Weil (Kutztown) racked up two hits including a home run and three RBI to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team in an 8-5 upset over Clark State Community College in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series. Junior Brian Santangelo (Middletown, Conn.) recorded the win throwing a complete game with two earned runs and seven strikeouts. The win keeps the Wildcats alive in the elimination bracket with No. 4 Selma University next up for the team.
