Two Age Groups

  • 9 - 11 a.m.
    12-14 years old
  • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    15-17 years old

Smarter training for maximum performance

The program format is specific to youth training based on National Strength and Conditioning Association (NCSA) guidelines, and is taught by Penn College Physical Fitness Specialist faculty. The Physical Fitness Specialist Associate of Applied Science is the only associate's degree in Pennsylvania recognized by NCSA.

June 23-26
Week 1

Day 1: Introduction and sample equipment, forms completion, and pre-test
Day 2: Cardio, nutrition, and flexibility
Day 3: Endurance strength, upper body
Day 4: Endurance strength, lower body

June 30-July 3
Week 2

Day 1: Agility, core, balance, cardio cool-down and stretch
Day 2: Agility, core, balance, cardio cool-down and stretch
Day 3: Functional fitness activities  
Day 4: Total body strength, cardio warm-up, flex and cool-down

July 7-10
Week 3

Sports specific training, including:

  • Strength training
  • Flexibility
  • Cardio
  • Injury prevention
  • Speed and agility
  • Nutrition

July 14-17
Week 4

Sports specific training, including:

  • Strength training
  • Flexibility
  • Cardio
  • Injury prevention
  • Speed and agility
  • Nutrition

Student will receive a take-home program for strength, flex, and cardio.
