Free Tutorial Services
Penn College's Tutoring Center provides academic assistance in math, English, and writing to all students FREE of charge.
Services include:
- Walk-in tutoring for most math and English classes offered at Penn College
- Walk-in and by-appointment tutoring for a variety of technical courses
- On-site tutoring in various labs on campus
- In-class tutoring for developmental math and some technical courses
NEW Online Tutoring Service
Students can now receive tutoring from any computer to communicate online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, math (basic through calc II), physics, Spanish, statistics, and writing.
Log in to www.smarthinking.com, by providing:
- User ID - enter your Penn College e-mail address
- Password - enter your Penn College Student ID number
Choose one of two ways to communicate:
- Talk with a tutor “live” (synchronously)
- Send a piece of writing or ask a question and receive a response (asynchronously) within 24 hours.
