Pulitzer Prize for Poetry 1918-2003

Favorite Poem Project
In April 1997, when the Library of Congress named Pinsky Poet Laureate, he
created the Favorite Poem Project as his special undertaking. Among
the goals of the project: encourage live reading events in communities
across the country, create a database of thousands of letters from
Americans, and produce a series of short audio and video documentaries that
capture American voices, faces and choices and represent people from many
states and with varying regional accents, ages, professions, kinds of education and backgrounds.
The Poetry Society of America
Founded in 1910, the PSA is the oldest United States poetry organization
supporting poetry and poets through programming and awards.
American Verse Project
This project is assembling an electronic archive of volumes of American poetry prior to 1920.
The Academy of American Poets
The largest poetry organization in the nation encourages the study and writing of poetry at college and universities and ensures
the success of National Poetry Month, and other programs "designed to
build a larger, more devoted readership for this essential part of our culture."
